IT Manager - Security and Firewalls, Operational Technology (Hybrid)This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our TeamIf you are an experienced cybersecurity leader, mission-driven to protect our nation's Critical Infrastructure, we would love to have you join the Eversource team.As the IT Manager - Security and Firewalls, Operational Technology you will manage and direct team responsible for overall delivery of security controls within operational technology environments and adherence to NERC-CIP and other relevant regulatory requirements. This role also functions as the service delivery owner of Firewall Operations at Eversource, leading the Firewall Operations team as well as the firewall managed-service provider.

To accomplish these tasks, the Manager - OT Security and Firewalls must be a capable leader that is familiar with Security Standards, Industrial Control Systems, and underlying principles of networking, infrastructure, architecture, and system integration.Essential Functions: Lead the Eversource Operational Technology Security program and team to ensure appropriate security controls and CIP compliance for Eversource Critical Infrastructure.Deliver security projects and day to day security controls supporting Eversource Operational TechnologyRepresent the Eversource CIP Compliance program within the company and externally to auditors, committees, and trade associations.

Direct team responsible for oversight, delivery and management of Eversource firewall operations activitiesEnsure firewall team is meeting key deliverables and SLAsCollaborate with Security Architecture to set overall strategy/direction for network segmentation and protectionEngage and collaborate with various IT teams and end users to resolve firewall related connectivity issuesServe as a point of escalation for firewall related changes or issuesReviews and approves firewall change activities while ensuring proper communication, implementation and validationBe familiar with current and proposed laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical requirements related to electric and gas systemsManage and encourages new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovationsEmpower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisionsSees beyond the current processes and identifies process improvementsMust be willing to make recommendations and challenge upwards when appropriate for the best interests of EversourceAbility to anticipate and respond to changing priorities, and operate effectively in a dynamic demand-based environment, requiring extreme flexibility and responsivenessProduce high quality oral and written work, presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely with audiences ranging from peers to Sr. ManagementDevelops plans, budgets and schedules for budget requirements for on-going operations that meet client operational level agreements.Manages technology deployment projects to ensure that the delivery is on-time, within budget and meets the company's information and system protection requirements.

Manages technical support personnel, and develop an effective, goal oriented, motivated organization. Manages relationships with vendors and service agreements to ensure that the services provided are high quality and cost effective.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Effective leadership of direct reports including day-to-day coaching and performance management/assessment;Effective management and analysis of budgets; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined teams when conducting technology incident root causes and/or investigations;Working knowledge of IT business practices and strategies; experience and mastery knowledge of cyber-security principles, technologies and processes;Strong analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to solve complex technical problems;Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.

Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors, various compliance organizations and external cyber emergency response teams is critical. Education:Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent years of experience. An advanced degree or cybersecurity certification is preferred Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years related experience is required of which 3 years includes supervisory/leadership responsibilityFamiliarity and experience within NERC-CIP regulated environments preferredLicenses & Certifications:Cybersecurity certification preferred (such as CISSP)Working Conditions: Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
