Join forces with us.BAE Systems' Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for a Capture Manager III for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line. This critical role will help grow the PGSS product line by applying BAE Systems' broad technology base to fill real gaps that Department of Defense customers have in the area of precision guided weapons.

The Capture Manager coordinates, plans, controls and executes a collection of pursuits and programs.The ideal candidate is an experienced capture professional to pursue a number of multi-function munitions seeker opportunities. The candidate should understand the US Department of Defense acquisition cycle, capture strategy development, and proposal development.

Applicant should have several years of direct experience as a member of capture teams.In this job, you will:Lead, develop, and execute multiple new and ongoing business capture campaign strategies in the areas of imaging, radio frequency, and GPS sensor technologies and their application in weapon seeker applications.Proactively identify and mitigate risks; manage resources across multiple business areas, interface with Sector new business capture efforts, clearly communicate within and across business areas to de-conflict new business capture efforts.

Establish and maintain a comprehensive external communication plan to build enduring, persistent relationships and demonstrate thought leadership in the mission and market space by staying actively engaged with our key external stakeholders at the highest levels within the US government, prime contractors, and at BAE.Measure and regularly report out on program results, including to senior leadership.Lead through inspiration and encouragement and foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement on the program team to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable outcomes.

*Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status*Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience in program or capture management and/or with functional activities related to the program lifecycle, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Active Secret Clearance.Demonstrated experience in building customer and supplier relationships, leading customer interactions and discussions of a technical and/or strategic nature.Experience integrating scope, schedule, and budget for the successful execution of program objectives.

Highly developed collaboration and leadership skills with demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional colleagues.Ability to lead complex teams that are distributed across geographic locations in a borderless fashion.Capable of working independently and within team(s) to solve problems.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment that requires a high degree of initiative, adaptability, and closure orientation.Demonstrated professionalism and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to interface and negotiate with and present to a variety of stakeholders including coworkers, leadership, customers, and suppliers.Knowledge of Government contracting, current acquisition trends and customer/competitor behaviors is a positive.

Proficiency with business tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.Certified Capture Team Lead.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $143000 - $243100Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
