TITLE: Senior Data Scientist JOB DESCRIPTION: Delivers business value through actionable insights, recommendations, and implementation of analytics solutions such as predictive models (30%). Works closely with business to understand their problem space & identify advanced analytics opportunities (30%).

Proactively listens and observes to understand which data elements are important to support smooth functioning of existing business processes and to support Data Science Projects (10%). Mentors junior Data Science team members (5%). Contributes to Data Science best practices and develops cross-functional partnerships (5%).

Takes ownership of and supports a broad range of data-driven projects (20%). Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Actuarial Science or Statistics or related field, or the foreign degree equivalent, and two (2) years of data science experience, including: Two (2) years of experience using SQL and using Python or R.

Two (2) years of experience machine-learning methods as well as full data science project cycle from data and business understanding through data preparation, modeling, validation and deployment. Two (2) years of experience utilizing advanced analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and databases such as Snowflake. Experience may be gained concurrently.
