Title: Network System Administrator - Onsite Responsibility: Responsible to oversee the computer networks, including software, software, and other physical hardware. Configuring and installing new or replacement, configuring and supporting wireless network, set up network segmentation, maintaining network documentation, fixing software or hardware issues, monitoring network systems to improve network performance; and maintaining firewalls; manage successful deployment and installation of network switches, UPS, and other hardware.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, test, operate, maintain, and manage wired networks including networking equipment, cabling, physical infrastructure and software to permit transmission of data while ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Expand or modify network infrastructure to serve new purposes or improve workflow. This includes all layer 1 cable plant infrastructure such as inside plant, outside plant Category 5/6 copper cables, fiber optics cables, and use of cable test equipment Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software and network device configuration, optimization, patching, securing and associated drawings and diagrams.
Maintain network core, distribution switching, and edge switching availability and functionality and associated drawings and diagrams. Troubleshoot and repair network systems, troubleshooting end devices for network connectivity (printers, Workstations, PCs, IP Phones, Wireless Access Points), and monitoring tools for network availability. Maintain security posture of network systems, maintain auditable records of system and configuration changes, draft weekly/monthly reports on activities.
Desired Experience: Secured Network (SECNET), Firewalls, CISCO Wireless, CISCO IOS XE Operating System, NMCI, VoIP, and Aruba Enterprise Networking. Requirements: CCNA - Routing and Switching (or other CISCO certifications) within 6 months of start date SECRET clearance (or eligible for clearance).
